Go ahead and start by painting your wooden letter, this way it will be dry when you are ready to attach it to your wreath. Pick any color that coordinates with the theme of your wreath. I have found that using foam brushes make for a smoother finish than using a regular paint brush.
Now you're ready to wrap your wreath. Take a wreath pin and pin the end of the burlap to the back of your wreath form. All you have to do is wrap your wreath until it's entirely covered. Be sure to pull the burlap ribbon as tight as you can while you are wrapping the wreath form. You may have to make some adjustments along the way to prevent ripples. Pin the end of the burlap to the back of your wreath form.
Let's add those accessories! This is where you can be creative. You can use faux flowers, feathers, or anything your heart desires. I hope that you took my advice and made sure that it all flows well before your purchased your accessories. You don't want your accessories to be too large, too small, or overwhelming. You can simply attach your accessories with your glue gun or your wreath pins.
Next is attaching your wooden letter. Make sure that it's completely dry before moving onto this step. I have attached my letters by hot gluing them directly onto the wreath and also by using the twine from the bow. If you use the twine, you will need to get your bow together. There are many tutorials online that will show you had to make a bow. You can get creative with this step as well. For the wreaths in the pictures, I simply used plain burlap ribbon. Cut to desired length, bring end to end and pinch in the middle. Then use the twine to wrap around the middle of the bow and the wreath. Wrap, wrap and wrap some more. Don't forget to wrap your letter!
The last step is making a hanger for the door. You can use some twine and make a loop to attach to the bag. Make sure that it's secure.
Now you have your finished wreath. I hope this was easy enough for you. Enjoy!
