Door Hanger

For this project you will need: 

·         Canvas

·         Acrylic paint

·         Ribbon

·         Pen or pencil

·         Screw driver

·         Rubber mallet

You will start off by painting your canvas with whatever slogan, image, or initials you chose.  Be sure to let the paint dry completely before moving on to the next step.

Use a pen or pencil to mark where you want the holes.  Make sure the holes are even.  To put the holes in the canvas, I used a screw driver and rubber mallet.  Put the screw driver tip over the pen marks and hit the top of the handle using the rubber mallet.  It’s just like hammering a nail into wood.  Once you have made a small hole, you can stop using the rubber mallet and simply force the screw driver through the canvas to make a large enough hole for your ribbon. 

Next you will thread your ribbon through the holes.  Cut the ribbon once you have it to the length you like. 

Now you have a decorative door hanger.
