Subway Art

Fun way to decorate your office or game room and so simple.

What you will need:
 -wrapped canvas
 -spray paint for background
 -paint for letters
 -wooden letters

While you're shopping for your supplies, be sure to place your wooden letters on your canvas to make sure that they will fit.  I used thick and heavy wooden letters from Hobby Lobby.  You may also use vinyl stickers.

First, you want to start off by painting the front of the canvas.  This will be the colors for your letters.  Don't worry about paint the sides and you don't even have to paint the entire front.  Just be sure to paint where you are going to put your letters.

After the paint dries, arrange your wooden or vinyl letters on your canvas.  You will need to do this outside because you are almost ready to spray paint.  Once you have your letters arranged, you will spray paint the entire canvas.  Be sure to let it dry completely before removing your letters.

Now you have your Subway Art.  I hope that was easy enough for you.

Crayon Art

This is an art project I did for my son's nursery. Great way to teach him colors.

What you will need:
-wrapped canvas
-hot glue gun
-crayons
-heat gun

Before you get started, arrange your crayons at the top of the canvas to make sure you like the color pattern and to figure out how may crayons you will need. Then, just start gluing each crayon to the canvas.  Be sure that all of the glue has dried before moving on to the next step.

Now, let's get ready to use that heat gun.  You may want to set up some cardboard boxes or newspaper around your canvas, because the wax from the crayons will splatter.  This will need to be done outside or in your garage.  You will want to lean the canvas up against a wall so that the wax will drip down your canvas.

Power on! Start from one side and work to the other by getting your heat gun close to the crayons.  How close or how far to place your heat gun will depend on how much wax you want dripping down your canvas.  The closer the heat gun to the crayons, the more wax that will drip.  Let this dry before hanging.

Hope you have fun with this project.  I think it's great for a playroom or child's room. Enjoy!
