Gift Wrapping

Cute way to wrap gifts.

I saw this on a website, but the website did not show what kind of paper to use or where to purchase it.  Don't bother looking for it in the wrapping paper section of your favorite craft store.  This is kraft paper/ packing paper.  If you search for it on the internet, it can be very expensive.

Just by chance I found this packing paper at Target for less than $5.00.  It is located in the shipping aisle (usually over by the crafts).  I had some small wooden letters left over from a previous project so I just painted those to match the ribbon.

I have seen this also done with alphabet stamps.  If you do not want to spend the money on stamps and ink, then I suggest using small wooden letters or stick on foam letters.  The wood letters usually come in a bag and contain about 3 of each letters.  These should not cost you more than $3.00.  Hobby Lobby has many foam letters to choose from in different sizes and colors.

This is a great way to customize your gifts.  I hope this gives you some ideas on how to wrap your presents.

Gift Bags

Here are some gift bags that I customized for Christmas gifts.  For this project you will need:

• Paper gift bags
• Scissors
• Card stock
• Glue stick

I purchased a few neutral gift bags and glitter card stock for this project.  I had some wooden letters from a previous project, so I traced those on the back of the card stock.  I traced on the back of the card stock because the front had glitter all over it and so I didn't have any pen marks all over my letter.  If you do trace on the back, be sure to reverse your letter so that the front is in the correct direction.  

Once you have traced your letter simply cut the letter out and glue it to the front of your bag.  

Another great idea is to use old Christmas cards for your letters.  Here are a few that I am going to use for other gift bags.
